Mary L. Hoffman, LPC

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, but it can also be the beginning of meaningful change. Many people seek therapy when they feel overwhelmed by anxiety, trauma, stress, or difficult life transitions. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can process what you’ve been through, develop practical coping skills, and begin moving toward the life you want to create.

I specialize in trauma-informed therapy and use evidence-based approaches to help clients heal and grow. My work integrates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR therapy), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Somatic Experiencing, and mindfulness-based practices. These approaches allow us to address healing on both a mental and physical level, helping your nervous system process difficult experiences and build resilience.

Many of the clients I work with are navigating trauma, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship struggles, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Together, we focus on helping you understand those patterns, develop healthier ways of responding, and reconnect with your sense of strength and possibility.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor serving clients in both Georgia and South Carolina. I offer in-person therapy in my downtown Savannah office and work with teens and adults ages 14 and older. I am currently accepting new clients.

If you’re looking for trauma therapy, EMDR therapy, or counseling in Savannah, GA, I would be honored to support you on your healing journey.
